Drunk in love?
Let’s go for cocktails!
A signature wedding cocktail (prepared by a great bar catering) can be a great way for couples to express their tastes and style by adding a personal touch to their reception.
It is a fun and playful way to add some personality to your wedding bar. It gives guests a recommendation on what to drink and cuts down on waiting time, since bartenders have them ready in advance.
The last thing you want at your wedding is people waiting for drinks!
Your wedding is an expression of you and your partner as a couple, so you want to nod to that in your drinks. Your cocktails could take you back to a fun memory or your first date or just include your go-to alcohol. Think about what you like!
If you’re still confused, we can make it easier for you.
Liquor choice
To make sure everyone on your guest list can find a drink they love, choose cocktails with different base spirits. It’s recommended that you have one clear liquor and one brown liquor to cater to the widest number of pallets.
If in trouble, the bar experts will be more than happy to assist you.
You also want to offer distinct flavors. For example, pair a sweet drink and a more bitter drink. As they say, opposites attract!
Opt For A Drink That Fits Your Wedding’s Aesthetic
Your signature cocktails should have the right aesthetic to match the rest of your wedding. How do you create a cocktail that embodies the vibe of your wedding? Think glasses, garnishes, menu signs and even craft ice cubes.
Serve your cocktail in glassware that fits the occasion. For some celebrations, that might be a drink served in a rustic mason jar, while others might opt for a classy cocktail in a champagne flute.
Test It Out
Once you have decided on the style of drink you want to include at your reception, don’t forget to give it a test run. Ahead of your wedding, we will schedule a meeting with the liquor professionals in order to taste your signature drink and ensure the ingredients come together as you expect. (Of course we’ll be there as well).
Choose a Catchy Name
If you want to add a personal touch, try choosing a quirky name for your drinks!
Name your cocktails after yourself or your future spouse, or try a punny play on a classic cocktail name. You can also try other personal details, like your new last name, the name of your pet, or the name of a shared hobby to inspire your signature drink names.
some examples:
“bloody marry me”
“you and me G&T”
“marriage margarita”
“we are to mint to be”
“ I Do”
Last step, Enjoy !
